Adult. Collected in Mound Lake and Rt 3318 in Waller County with cast net.

The Golden Shiner is found only sporatically in the Houston area in my experience. This large minnow is however abundant in Mound Lake at the crossing of Route 3381 in Waller County. On one visit to the lake, my first throw of my cast net produced a dozen of them. I've collected only four individuals total at all other locations.
