This snake is the first Loma Alta alterna that I collected. The next night, I collected
a female (lom91w0002) at the exact same location. The two
bred repeatedly in the motel room during my stay. A month or so later, she laid 8 perfect eggs
all of which hatched. This snake appears on the cover of Markel's "Kingsnakes and Milksnakes" paperback published in 1995. |
