| On my first night of "road collecting from a bicycle", I collected this snake. At just before 9 pm, I spotted the snake sticking its head out of a crack in a cut. I dropped my bike and ran up to grab her, but she managed to escape into the crack. 15 minutes later, I returned. It was deja vu. This time I managed to get my hands around the posterior few inches of her. I was unable to pull her out immediately, but held on. After 15 minutes or so, she got tired and I was able to pull her out. She was a bit scuffed up from our struggle. She still bears some minor skin discoloration from it. |
